Telvisant CrossCheck GPRS 1900 Mobile Unit
The
CrossCheck® GPRS 1900 Mobile unit is a key component of
Trimble's Telvisant Fleet Management System. The unit is a
powerful, versatile tool for determining and communicating a
vehicle's location and status to the Telvisant Mobile Resource
Management platform via a wireless GPRS communication network.
The CrossCheck GPRS unit integrates a GPS receiver, a General
packet Radio Service (GPRS) wireless communication system, and
computing power in a single, compact enclosure.
- The unit can be used as a standalone device to determine
and communicate current vehicle status, including position,
speed and direction.
- It can also be interfaced with external accessories and
sensors as part of an on-board system to monitor vehicle
status and to activate vehicle security peripherals such as
ignition lockout or audible alarms.
- The unit can automatically report arrival or departure
from defined Job Site or Home Site locations. It also allows
various asset utilization calculations such as time spent
and distance traveled on job.
The unit mounts conveniently in the vehicle and requires no
operator access or involvement.
The
EchoLDX™
Messaging Terminal, an optional in-cab accessory, displays and
stores text messages received from a dispatcher and enables the
operator to send a predefined response message to the
dispatcher. |
